Remember when your favorite music made you feel good
as opposed to feeling depressed? Original artists
generating the former are so few and far between
that it's refreshing to have someone new again...
Let us introduce you to Scarlett Taylor, the likes of an artist
you haven't seen or heard in a long time! This young and exciting, yet graceful pop
singer/songwriter and performer is practically fresh out of the gate after recording more
than two albums worth of her original material in New York City. Having recently been
featured on THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW, Scarlett is now
gracing Los Angeles' nightclubs, bookstores, shopping centers and cafes and the public is
loving her!
Although lacking in parental support of her musical talent from the onset of her career,
Scarlett's determination forged her way into music anyway. She got a jump start as a
singer in her hometown of Motown as her passion guided her to performing arts schools.
Immediately recognized by music directors as having exceptional talent and attitude,
Scarlett won scholarships, coveted leading roles and prestigious music awards. Moving on
to New York (much to her parents' disappointment and worry*), her early songwriting was
mentored by 1997 platinum writer Shelly Peiken ("Bitch" / Meredith Brooks) who
is quoted as saying, "Talk about star qualities, just look at Scarlett. She's
adorable!". *Scarlett wrote a song about this challenging circumstance entitled
"To Be Free" which is featured on her recent debut album, "Curiosity".
The magic of Scarlett's sweet, yet powerful voice, mesmerizing melodies and lyrics
quadrupled with her visually fascinating and seasoned performance style has captured the
attention of today's hottest pop producers like Tony
Moran and Tony Coluccio ( Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Jon Secada, etc.)
"Curiosity" album was produced by Tony Coluccio! In casting the charismatic Miss
Taylor as the lead role of "Eve" in both the stage production and
recording of the new Rock Opera "Atom and Eve", Broadway director Tom O'Horgan
(Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar) exclaimed, "She's fetching!". Scarlett's appeal
is also favored internationally as Japan's Nippon Television hired her to
not only sing the theme song for a hit T.V. series, but also perform numerous cuts on the
soundtrack for the series.
"I've found that the sort of impact my music has on people is that of taking them
away to a special place in their hearts and minds where they feel good and feel a sense of
playfulness and adventure. Sure, I can't help but venture into the
sad places too as that is also a part of life. I'd like to think that for most listeners,
my music provides a colorful journey of experiences in life and love and all that
matters!", says Miss Taylor in a recent interview.
Possessing an alluring and precious style-all-her-own, public interest in Scarlett's
voice, music and live performances continues to grow at a pace she once only dreamed of.
"Very strong songs! Strong lyrics and strong
melodies!"
.....BARRY MANILOW

She sings homespun material without a drop of
cynicism.....has a pretty, commercial voice,
flawless live vocals with a wide-eyed performance."
